Looking Ahead…

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Hey Guys,

Bushey here with a new article on the first five fixtures of each Premier League side. The teams your players are playing against is a key to the points they score, after all your not going to select Bale as captain if he’s playing Man City away and Rooney is playing Reading at home.  I will rate the fixtures as E (easy) M(medium) H (hard) and VH (very hard). I will also rate the difficulty of the teams first 5 fixtures using the same terms. Also the ratings are based on the teams ability, the team they are playing and whether it is at home or not. Wigan: 1. Chelsea – Home (H) 2. Southampton – Away (MH) 3. Stoke – Home (M) 4. Man Utd – Away (VH) 5. Fulham – Home (MH) Overall Rating – MH

I have put the first five fixture overall ratings for each team into groupings:

E – No one has an easy first five fixtures

ME – Chelsea, Man Utd, Tottenham

M – Aston Villa, Fulham, Man City, Newcastle, Swansea

MH – Arsenal, Everton, Norwich, Reading, Stoke, Sunderland, West Brom, West Ham, Wigan

H – Liverpool, QPR, Southampton

VH – No one has a very hard first five fixtures

So as you can see from the first five fixtures Spurs, Chelsea and Man Utd all have respectable starts and their players should get off to good starts fantasy wise. Whilst they all have a relatively challenging game the other four games a very winnable for them, and with a win usually comes fantasy points. Looking at the other end of the spectrum Liverpool, QPR and Southampton will all be challenged early. Liverpool and Southampton play 3 of last year’s top 4 and their first five weeks of fantasy scoring may be very limited. QPR are pretty much the same where they will be playing Spurs, Chelsea and Man City.

I hope this helps with picking your teams and I will come back with the next of Looking Ahead in about game week 4.
