After looking over hundreds of RMT’s its time we tallied up all the players picked, put them into the pick-o-meter and see what team it spits us out! Hot on the heels of Matty’s team, here is the RMT consensus team.
According the RMT’s the common forward line consists of
Tevez, Torres and POG
But Graham and Aguero are still in the mix!
In the middle the common picks are Hazard, Bale, Kawaga, Toure and Noble
Others stiff too miss our were Pienaar, Taarabt, Guthrie, Sigurdsson and Michu
In the back line it does seem that most are happy to skimp slightly, we have the common picks as Lescott, Cole, Hangeland, Clyne and Demel.
Shawcross, Kolorov and Vidic are there abouts too.
In between the sticks a lot are going cheap, lots are going with Jaaskalinen and Federici.
But that’s not to say there are not a lot of DDG’s, Friedels and Begovics.
So here it is! the vanilla FPLaddicts RMT consensus team!
Federici (Jaaskalinen)
Lescott, Cole, Hangeland (Clyne, McCartney)
Hazard, Kawaga, Bale, Toure (Noble)
Tevez, Torres ©, Pog
With 0.5 in the bank to go towards turning Torres into Rooney, (like every RMT wants to do)
Make of this what you will!
Bear in mind this is by no means the teams that the fpladdicts writers are going with, it’s just a summation of the teams we are seeing in the comments!
Happy tinkering.
That team costs 102 no?
does it? oops! need a rejig!! ill have to change it when i get a tick
i think so, not sure because i use my excel file (no access to the fpl at work 🙁 ).
It does, Toure to Pienaar and Lescott to Zabaleta/Clichy?
just switch agureo with tevez….
sounds good…
Hey Guys,
Loving the information thus far.
Have you or will you be giving us injury updates club by club?
yep matty will do these on friday i think
News wrap each Friday to save you guys all the work 😛
Adz may be able to make an injury table if you want the full lists…
sounds computerish! might be beyond me.. ill try;)
Aguero & Rooney were the safe, heavy-hitting forward line a couple of weeks ago. Now ppl are having to think about what Tevez changes (i.e. Aguero still, or Tevez, or both, or neither). And RVP feels like the elephant in the room. If he stays or moves to Man Utd or another top team it’ll require some re-evaluating (eg if he went to Man Utd, would you pick RVP? Rooney? Both? Neither?)
he and his 13 million ruin EVERYTHING
I was just thinking the same thing. If RVP moves to Utd, how will this affect Rooney’s output? One to ponder….
Great site by the way all, loving it!
cheers mate!
aguero is now tevez…. should be under 100 and tevez is the new bandwagon anyway!
now 99.5, reckon Pienaar is another bring him in for Toure makes room for the 2.0 to go Torres -> Rooney. Got some things to say about Toure in my next big reveal anyway… 😛
Until Tevez has another hissy fit and claims to miss his family….again!
until someone else can pay him this much, he will fake happiness
Surely Man City players will be on high rotation as they look for EPL, ECL and FA Cup glory. Reckon picking some players is quite risky…..outside of Hart, Kompany, Silva and Aguero
Correct.
Hey Guys, just wondering?
silva & zabaleta
vs
bale & lescott
option b!
I think ramires is also reasonably popular for the GW1.
im finding it hard to resist him! (no homo)
is hazard and ramires for gw1 too much?
Lampard + Nasri
vs
Hazard + Yaya Toure
Lampard takes penalties and has a habit of destroying easy teams and Nasri was essentially BOG in community shields game playing a very attacking style of game.
on the other hand, hazard had a day to forget, but don’t forget he has loads of talent! yaya scored but only had one shot and it was a rebound, also, had quite a defensive style of game which may be set once Silva returns to the starting side.
so which pair??
finding this one hard! maybe a, just
Hazard/Toure. Lampard is doing a Claude Makelele impersonation these days and Nasri is just a loathesome French Twat who will be rotated in and out of the side.
Hahaha loathsome french twat. Like.
choosing between Petric and Ba? will petric continue his pre season from in the epl, or will he stop scoring.. also ba’s scores might be affected because of Cisse. thoughts?
btw petric is 6m while ba is 7.5
Ba has a very good strike rate but I reckon Cisse will be taking some of his goals this season. Started brilliantly last term then went off a bit when his compatriot joined in January.
flip a coin!
Agreed. Ba was useless as soon as Cisse came aboard. I am a fan of Graham for your price range.
I got a couple of players who are new to the Premier League in my side (Cazorla, Vlaar). Thinking about Podolski as well. What do you reckon about having players new to the Premier League?
I have a side containing: Hazard, Cazorla, Kagawa and Podolski! So I’m taking a huge punt on new guys adapting quickly. In previous years picking the midfield was easy (Ronaldo, Lampard, Gerrrard), now it isn’t so simple. Dont want to pay the price for the established midfield options like Bale and Silva ‘coz I don’t reckon they are as good or consistent as the guns of previous seasons. So a punt on the newbies it is!
You’d have to have huge balls! But seeing as you’re not stuck with players the whole year in Fantasy Football it’s not too much of a risk
you dont know him very well.. he is stuck with the same team! he wont eve pay fior a trade… he will sit on his wildcard till xmas… he is stuck!
At least I don’t attend weekly counselling sessions at Traders Anonymous. If Adz only spends twelve points on trades in a given gameweek he considers himself positively thrifty.
Who won last year? Who is wearing a chelsea strip on their desktop? I may have a trade addiction…. But.. well ok, I have a trade addiction
just checking to make sure, do u lose 3 points for every trade you make?
4 innit?
Vlaar looks to be a decent buy at his price. A Dutch International, hopefully he fits in well.
he looks good, but lambert’s emphasis has been on attack and not defence. for that reason alone I’m steering clear of any villa defenders!
Understandable but from what I read about Vlaar he could be a threat on set pieces. And thanks to Lambert (and I hope improved delivery) Aston Villa won’t be as abysmal on set pieces as they were last year.
Here’s my team:
GK: Federici, (Jaask)
DEF: Vidic, Cole, Hangeland, (Demel, Clyne)
MID: Britton, Guthrie, Bale, Dempsey (Cork)
FWD: Tevez, Rooney, Arguero
No money left
My mids are weak, but hopefully my fwds fire!
RMT??
I am never a fan of having two pricey strikers from the same team. That strategy hasn’t paid off since the days of the Henry/RVP combo!
any 5.0 goalkeepers as good as any 5.5?
also park, allen, lallana, taarabt or wright-phillips? reply asap need to know!
Schwartzer.
Not understanding all the love out there for Kagawa. Are people just jumping on board because he looks like getting a lot of gametime? Valencia still a better choice for mine.
Hey gang, I’ve got a few noob questions that I’d like to throw out there.
I’m considering the GW 1 or 2 wildcard option. What happens with sale prices on this? Will there even be any profits made from those who rise in price or will the trade penalty take it all?
I guess the reason I’m asking is: Why not build a nice dual GW 1 team but then fill the rest with possible season keepers / growth players? Trading out the extra Reading / Chelsea players in the first few weeks? If you start with 6 then you can bench three and cop a -4 for week 3 (assuming the rest of the team plays). This still gives you the option of wildcard if it all goes pear-shaped.
Is this a safe/creative option, or is a hedge both ways just a waste of time?
Best to either go hard wildcard strategy or build a keeper from the start you muppet!
Also, what are the thoughts if RVP the dog goes to ManU?
Does this take him and Rooney out of the equation and provide great value on future EPL stars Podolski and Giroud?
Tell me to pull my Arsenal head in if this is wishful thinking?
Peace.
Yes a duel team will work providing your team doesn’t go bust, or as you say your wc is there anyway.
If vanners leaves Rooney is doubtful and yes Podolski and Giroud will look good.
Also you will get around half the price rises
Thanks Matt, that’s really helpful. I was put off by the fact that no-one was discussing that as a strategy. Unfortunately that means that I might have blown a good one.
I think Podolski is a definite option if RVP leaves having been following Gunners pre-season / structure (if RVP goes I reckon there is real value in the mids).
What are your thoughts on this?
GW1
Federici (Schwarzer)
Lescott Vidic Hangeland (Clyne) (Demel)
Hazard Silva Ramires Guthrie (Pienaar)
Aguerro Torres Pogrebnyak
3 mids and 2 forwards obviously a risk for GW3, but could play:
GW 3
Schwarzer (Federici)
Lescott Vidic Hangeland Clyne Demel
Pienaar Silva SUB1-Guthrie (Ramires) (Hazard)
Aguerro SUB2-Pogrebnyak (Torres)
Or of course trade Torres and Ramires if they are spudding it.
Relies heavily on all 15 playing but worth the risk I reckon.
Always have the WC if needed.
Is there something I am missing???
Peace.

Sorry for the double post 😮
