Another GW another strong performance from Kane and Aguero. Question is…who’s going to be the third player on the podium? 🙂
The Top 3
1. Sergio Aguero
No point counting the goals and assists anymore. The king is back. Period. Even though the Foxes haves kept 3 clean sheets in the last 4 games, I’d say playing Leicester at home is a favorable fixture. Aguero is very likely to be the most captained player by far, it’s up to you to decide if you wanna play the differential card….
The pros: the king of FPL is back in form, good fixture at home
The cons: not a good differential (that’s all I can find)
2. Harry Kane
If you’re looking for a “safe differential”, then Harry Kane is your man. He’s scored 4 goals and 1 assist in the last 3 games and he’s playing Watford at home. Despite a somehow surprising clean sheet against Chelsea, the Hornets have conceded 5 goals in their last 3 away games.
The pros: great form, lone striker role, good fixture at home, “safe differential”
The cons: doesn’t have the consistency of an in-form Aguero
3. Roberto Firmino
This one is a punt: it’s not really clear to me whether the guy is a flash in the pan or Klopp’s next superstar playmaker (or something in between those 2 extremes :)). He did score 2 braces in the last 4 games: explosive but not very consistent so far. Playing Sunderland at home obviously increases his appeal. That’s if you’re looking for a real differential.
The pros: very explosive, good fixture at home
The cons: not consistent so far
I was struggling to find a punt this week and finally opted for the most hated man in the Premier League. He blanked against Watford but nevertheless he scored 3 goals and 2 assists in the last five games. Man United has been strong defensively but I still see Chelsea scoring at home. Costa gets very few bonus points though, which is not good for a captain…
The pros: good run of form, lone striker
The cons: consistently scoring goals…but not bonus points, tough fixture
Thanks guys. Hope this has helped!
